NAT-PROGRAMME kick off seminar

The project kick-off seminar took place at the premises of the Nature Conservation Agency on 31.01.2013, gathering more than 50 participants.
Seminar participants represented various organisations, including the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Latvian Fund for Nature, JSC “Latvijas Valsts meži”, Kemeri National Park and several representatives from the regional offices of the Nature Conservation Agency.
The seminar consisted of a general introduction by the Project Manager Juris Jātnieks about the Project, its aims, main actions and expected results and a presentation by each of the project experts about their respective habitat groups and the actions planned for each habitat. A representative from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ilona Mendziņa also delivered a presentation and explained the significance of this LIFE project in the context of the EU financial framework for 2014-2020.
